Perspective: Slow it down

"We have to unify, so stop being so immature and get over it."

We're stronger together, but being emotionally absent benefits no one. Maybe change your approach, on an emotionally charged topic.

This is the perfect chance to not dismiss the actions but look past them and ask why? "Help me understand." That's a hard conversation starter, and it won't be comfortable.

But, don't give up on or stifle the hard conversation.
We're so tuned to stopping with topics we're emotionally vested in, especially when it gets heated. Refocus. Talk it out. Listen.
Hard conversations foster strong relations,
when the intent is understanding and growth.
